- 1 lb flank steak or skirt steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Guacamole:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

- Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving:
- 8 small corn or flour tortillas, warmed
- Lime wedges
- Sliced radishes (optional)
- Crumbled queso fresco or shredded cheese (optional)
- Salsa or hot sauce (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Marinate the Steak:
- In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a marinade.
- Place the flank steak or skirt steak in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it is evenly coated. Cover or seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.
Step 2: Prepare the Guacamole:
- Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into a bowl and mash it with a fork until smooth or slightly chunky, depending on your preference.
- Add the chopped red onion, minced jalapeño pepper, chopped cilantro, and lime juice to the mashed avocado. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until well combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
Step 3: Grill the Steak:
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
- Grill the steak for 4-6 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached. Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the steak and your preferred level of doneness.
- Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
Step 4: Assemble the Tacos:
- Warm the tortillas on the grill or in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Place slices of grilled steak on each tortilla.
- Top the steak with a spoonful of guacamole and any additional toppings such as sliced radishes, crumbled queso fresco or shredded cheese, salsa, or hot sauce.
- Serve the grilled steak tacos immediately with lime wedges on the side.
Step 5: Enjoy!
- Serve the tacos immediately, with extra lime wedges and salsa on the side if desired.
- Enjoy these delicious grilled steak tacos with guacamole for a flavorful and satisfying meal!
